Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and using Payanchor, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including individuals and businesses.

2. Services Provided

Payanchor provides a digital tax management platform including tax organisers, financial calculators, document storage, and professional tax return preparation services for South African taxpayers. The salary tax calculator is available without registration. All other features require registration and, where indicated, an active subscription.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information in your Tax Organiser and all uploaded documents. Payanchor practitioners will prepare your return based on information you provide. You must verify all submitted returns before SARS submission. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Professional Services

Tax return preparation is performed by registered tax practitioners. Payanchor does not guarantee specific tax outcomes. Our practitioners exercise reasonable professional care, but SARS assessments, audits, and outcomes are beyond our control. Professional advice is provided within the scope of your Tax Organiser submission.

5. Data and Privacy

All personal and financial data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We retain all data for a minimum of 5 years as required by SARS regulations. You may request access to or deletion of your data, subject to statutory retention requirements. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to certain features requires an active subscription. Subscription pricing is confirmed after your Tax Organiser is reviewed. Payanchor reserves the right to suspend access for non-payment or late payment. Payment terms are communicated separately by your assigned practitioner.

7. Limitation of Liability

Payanchor's liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the relevant tax year. We are not liable for SARS penalties, interest, or assessments arising from information you provided incorrectly. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Termination

Payanchor may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, non-payment, or provision of false information. You may close your account at any time. Data will be retained for 5 years after termination as required by law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email.
